- SLN: Do you feel you are helping? If so, how and for whom?
C. N.: Yes. I strive to contribute to the creative industry by attempting to demystify often misunderstood conceptualization processes, thereby making abstract thought more actionable.

After four years of medical studies, Nadalina pivoted toward the design sciences, earning a degree in Design Management and Communications followed by a Master’s in User Experience (UX). Her early professional ventures were rooted in creative research and conceptual development, notably collaborating with the award-winning contemporary Spanish designer Lucas Muñoz on various bespoke projects across the retail, hospitality, and institutional sectors. During this tenure, she engaged with a prestigious roster of clients and institutions, including ON Running, CAP Dept., Nave La Mosca, Design Miami, SUOT, Salone del Mobile, Ateneo, Stüssy, ACME, Mayrit Bienal, and Madrid Design Week.
Upon relocating from Madrid to Paris, her practice evolved into a synergy between contemporary art and interface design. She contributed to the strategy, design, and branding of the new DOCENT online platform—a digital ecosystem connecting contemporary artists from emerging galleries and established institutions with global collectors. This work naturally catalyzed further collaborations within the cultural and contemporary art landscape, extending to studios and galleries through ongoing initiatives or project-based work with Docent (Feria Material, Art Basel, Maison Clearing, Condo London, Lo Brutto Stahl).

While our interviews with FIGURES usually serve as the foundation for the profiles we craft, here, the caliber of her discourse speaks for itself: “My practice explores how creative production can function as an active tool for differentiation rather than a passive aesthetic language. I endeavor to identify and articulate what makes individuals and entities distinct, anchoring each project in a cultural positioning, purpose, and set of values that transcend superficial aesthetics.Alongside this, a central challenge of my professional trajectory lies in navigating the increasing dominance of technology and AI while working from a background rooted in design and art. I am interested in developing strategies that allow these creative fields to contend with, adapt to, and remain relevant within this shifting landscape.”
SLN: A departed figure with whom you would like to spend a day?
C. N.: Frank Lloyd Wright.

CONCEPT X CONTEXT X DISTINCTION
SLN: What is your material ideal?
C. N.: A domestic library beneath a dome.
When asked about her creative connection to the botanical world, Nadalina reflects: “I worked on a project for an experimental agricultural center, which involved a comprehensive research study on every element impacting farming practices: flora, fauna, water, soil, energy, landscaping, land art, and vernacular architecture. It was fascinating to see how deeply contemporary architectural practice is intertwined with the protection of natural and organic elements. Through this project, I discovered Rudolf Steiner and Paolo Soleri, as well as Roberto Burle Marx. It was undoubtedly a pivotal moment in my journey. I have always had a penchant for organic architecture and its philosophy, which I find quite close to human ethics and general harmony. These principles align closely with my personal values.”
SLN: If you were not yourself, who would you be?
C. N.: A monk.
Saints la nuit is delighted to count Claudia Nadalina among its collaborators.
