- Born in Morocco and raised in Aix-en-Provence, Robin Mayet now calls Paris home. While his electronic music production places him at the vanguard of the contemporary, both his sound and his garments remain haunted by the ghost of the Dandy—a figure not quite wise, yet profoundly seductive.

Robin Mayet’s creative genesis was forged in the solitude of a childhood spent immersed in drawing and painting. After graduating from the IFM (Institut Français de la Mode) in Fashion Design, he refined his craft through apprenticeships with Matthias Winkler and Alaïa, followed by a tenure at L’Éclaireur. However, he soon pivoted toward total independence, dedicating himself to his artisanal label, OOD Storage. Working from his own atelier, he produces pieces for a discerning, niche distribution while simultaneously curating a series of musical organizations, bridging the worlds of rock, electronica, and techno.

Founded in 2022, OOD Storage is a testament to Mayet’s refusal of outsourcing. To guarantee an uncompromising standard of quality, he produces highly limited series of masculine ready-to-wear, blending a deliberate punk romanticism with the aesthetic lexicon of early 20th-century performing arts.
This ethos extends to his modes of presentation. In 2024, he conceived a static exhibition activated solely by his own musical performance. The garments were suspended from wire armatures, illuminated by towering candles, and documented in newspapers for guests to take away. He continues this visual narrative through photography, collaborating with Dorian Lafargue and Polina Ganz. Across every medium, he maintains a system of absolute independence, steering clear of dilettantism through sheer technical rigor.

In the realm of music, Mayet operates with an organic fluidity, establishing structures tailored to specific locales and collaborators. Alongside Valinar, he formed the duo The Velvet Brothers, injecting a rebellious, underground sonority into the capital’s most exclusive venues—creating spaces where the crowd truly comes to dance.
With Dorian Lafargue, he launched Selecta, a platform that encompasses both high-profile DJ sets and full-scale event programming. Their influence is palpable: they accompanied Beck during his Parisian tour and have curated acclaimed nights featuring Pas de Quartier and Nnhuanda. Whether collaborating with Mauvaise Réputation or engaging in the Skin Party series, their rare acoustic signature has become a benchmark of the Parisian scene—once heard, it becomes an obsession.
Saints la Nuit is delighted to count Robin Mayet among its key collaborators.
