Born in Roanne in 2003, Tim Pupecki is one of those agile spirits in fashion who navigate between disciplines while maintaining total investment. Behind a structured façade lies a seasoned personality, adept at juggling photography, artistic direction, and image assistance.
SLN: What is most important: the scope of the role or the beauty of the project?
    T. P. : The beauty of the project.

SLN: A deceased personality with whom you would like to share a day?
    T. P.: Peter Lindbergh. I want his opinion on the current state of things.

Currently serving as Assistant Art Director at City Models—the storied agency founded in 1978—Tim Plume is forging his visual vernacular and professional praxis while completing a Master’s in Art Direction at École Condé. A lifelong devotee of design and the fine arts, his trajectory is one of academic and creative rigour, moving from global design to a degree in Fashion & Image. It was there he encountered Dorian Lafargue, establishing a creative alliance and a steadfast friendship that remains central to his work.

KUCA

KUCA

SLN: What is most important: the scope of the role or the beauty of the project?
    T. P. : The beauty of the project.

His project, KUCA, stands as the ultimate incarnation of his methodology: a global creative studio where photography and textile engage in a dialogue to reinterpret the masculine. Borrowing from art the capacity to interrogate the world through the gaze, he uses fashion to materialize the insights he uncovers. For Tim, fashion is a daily art, a medium that allows him to embody his favorite virtue: precision. He is fascinated by the profound simplicity of the aesthetic gesture—the buttoning of a shirt, the folding of a pocket square—treating them as sacred rituals.

THE PRECISE EYE

SLN: A deceased personality with whom you would like to share a day?
T. P.: Peter Lindbergh. I want his opinion on the current state of things.

Beyond the institutional framework, Tim cultivates a dedicated practice in editorial photography. Drawing inspiration from the masters—David Bailey and Helmut Newton—he conceives his aesthetic as something inherently drawn, possessing a quasi-pictorial quality. This photographic pursuit is inextricably linked to his work in styling and garment design; he is a creator haunted by the totality of the image, meticulous about every element within the frame.

When not behind the lens himself, Tim lends his eye and technical expertise to the high-octane projects of MDMA Advisory Services, as well as Dorian Lafargue’s personal ventures. His mastery of light has become a silent cornerstone in the success of numerous external collaborations.

SLN: Your principal character trait?

T. P.: Loyalty, humor, and resourcefulness.

Saints la Nuit is delighted to count Tim Pupecki among its key collaborators.
