FREEDOM CHAIR
The Freedom Chair is a personal and utopian vision of the year 2000: an object liberated from norms, where design serves as a medium for expression rather than a set of constraints.
This piece is entirely handcrafted in France. It was imagined by designer Maxime Partouche and produced by the Paris-based studio Dear Odyssée.
A functional sculptural piece situated at the intersection of art and design, it celebrates the mobility of the human body. Its formal radicalism—defined by dark minimalism and an upward verticality—departs from conventional seating in favor of an open, intuitive physical experience. Designed without edges, it encourages total freedom of movement, whether for an individual or a group.

Crafted from MDF, the piece is coated in an absorbent black lacquer and protected by a matte varnish. Its monochromatic black finish is designed to absorb light, enhancing the object’s almost immaterial quality, like a silent presence within the space.
Entirely self-supporting, its only preservation requirement is for indoor display. It can be presented either as a functional object or as a work of collectible design.
