FIGURE SATELLITAIRE 1

The artist Ronan Debosque, a figure of Saints la nuit, presents exclusively for the platform the inaugural piece of his "Figures satellitaires" (Satellite Figures) series.

While Debosque’s practice typically follows an investigative approach centered on the motto "what goes up must come down"—recovering objects from human space exploration—he pivots in this series to focus on a formal exploration of the spatial imaginary.

Although the aluminum used appears to be derived from orbital debris, Debosque crafts the work entirely from scratch, bringing it closer to the medium of painting. By inviting the viewer into a new, neutralized yet meditative relationship, the crumpled surface captures shifting light like a cartography of the celestial unknown.

The work was featured in the exhibition "Extra-Muros" at Galerie Dohyang Lee in Paris (2024), a duo show with artist Louis Pereira. It is produced by Lacase contemporaine, an independent space for exchange, experimentation, and exhibition dedicated to contemporary creation.

Wood and metal wall mounting system, to be installed directly onto screws.
